On July 16, 2014 at approximately 8:53 p.m., the Clarkstown Police Department responded to Foot Locker located at the Palisades Mall for a report of shoplifting. Three suspects, Christian Omir, 30, Christopher Rivera, 21, and Caesar Alvarado, 31, all of Newark, NJ, were reportedly observed by loss prevention taking merchandise valued at $1,195. The three suspects were also in possession of stolen merchandise from American Eagle, valued at $890. They were charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree (felony). All three suspects were arraigned on July 17, 2014 in Clarkstown Justice Court. Bail was set at $500 for Caesar Alvarado and $1,000 for both Christian Omir and Christopher Rivera. They have a return court date of September 17, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
