Paula Bohovesky’s murderer Richard LaBarbera has again been denied release on parole.
LaBarbera and codefendant Robert McCain first put behind bars in 1981 for the 1980 murder of the 16-year-old Bohovesky as she walked home from Pearl River Library.
The hearing was actually a continuation of a December 2013 hearing, as a state judge ordered the hearing reopened, ruling that the parole panel inappropriately heard allegations of sexual abuse against LaBarbera that had been rejected by the jury in 1981.
