“Wild Eyes” DeMaio
On Sunday, November 8 at approximately 12:15 p.m. the Clarkstown Police Department responded to Best Buy, located at the Palisades Mall, for a report of shoplifting.
The suspects, Andre Pritchard, 44, of Bloomington, NY and Michael DeMaio, 46, of Marlboro, NY, were reportedly observed by loss prevention employees taking merchandise valued at $1,395.00. The merchandise consisted Bose headphones and a UP3 Jawbone. Police report that they attempted to leave the scene, but were apprehended by responding patrol units.
Both suspects were charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree (felony) and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree (felony). Pritchard was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (misdemeanor) and unlicensed operator (violation).
Pritchard and DeMaio were arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court and remanded to the Rockland County Jail.
