Daniel R. Yupa-Guasco, 30, residing at High Street in Garnerville, was arrested on December 1, 2016 and charged with strangulation in the second degree, a class “D” felony. The charge stemmed from a domestic incident on November 11, 2016, were the suspect strangled his wife, causing her to sustain severe injuries and hospitalization. The suspect fled the area and was believed to be in NYC. Early that morning a Town of Haverstraw Detective with assistance from the US Marshalls searched a residence in Queens and located the suspect. The defendant was arraigned By Town of Haverstraw Judge John Grant and sent to the Rockland County jail on $100,000 dollars cash bail.
