REPORT FROM CLARKSTOWN PD
On Thursday, April 4, 2013 at approximately 6:20 p.m. the Clarkstown Police Department arrested Edward Tabaracci, 51, from New City.
Tabaracci called a non emergency line at the Clarkstown Police Department on at least three separate occasions, and ultimately made death threats against officers, police said. Tabaracci placed the first call at approximately 4:30 p.m. whereby he was complaining about a traffic problem on Strawtown Rd.
The second call was placed at approximately 4:49 p.m. and the third call was placed at approximately 5:22 p.m. Tabaracci grew increasingly hostile with each phone call. In the final call, Tabaracci stated “This is not a warning this is a promise. Two officers will die in the next 24 hours.”
Tabaracci was arrested at his residence without incident. He has been charged with making a terroristic threat (felony), and aggravated harassment 2nd (misdemeanor). He is pending arraignment in Clarkstown Justice Court.
